DOJO ETIQUETTE

To maximize learning and a positive martial art experience we ask for students, parents and guest to follow our guidelines when you are at the dojo. At Team Endurance MMA we often refer to the dojo as a library, it should be quiet, clean and a place to get work done.

STUDENT ETIQUETTE

PARENT/GUEST ETIQUETTE

  • No shoes on the mat
  • Listen without interruption
  • Respect your fellow teammates and instructors
  • Line up by rank order
  • Leave your ego at the door
  • The ego is your first opponent
  • Wear a clean uniform
  • No jewelry while training
  • Don’t leave the mat barefooted, bring slippers
  • Keep quiet during instruction
  • Keep the mats clean
  • Help lower ranks and new students
  • Bow when stepping on or off the mat
  • Be assertive yet not aggressive
  • Be clean, cut your nails, use deodorant
  • Use words of encouragement, don’t talk down on your teammates
  • No foul langue in the dojo
  • Stay home if sick
  • Please, no eating while in the waiting area
  • Talking with others is okay, just remember class is in session. Keep a low tone
  • Please use headphones if on electronic device
  • No coaching while class is conducted
  • Correct your kids outside the dojo
  • Do not run or play at the waiting area Parents, please control your kids
  • Parents, please don’t compare your kid(s) to others, every child learns at a different pace
  • No recording while class is in session
  • If you must, speak to the instructor before or after class
