Some people walk into our dojo wanting to become combat athletes, some others want self-defense, better self-esteem, while some just want attain a great physique.

Whatever your goals are, we are here to help. We understand that different people learn at different pace and that not everyone like the same martial arts as others do. Some people might find striking martial arts more suitable to them than grappling martial arts, or vice verse. Some others might like both!

At Team Endurance MMA we practice two unique disciplines: Karate/Kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu.

WHAT IS KARATE/KICKBOXING?

At Team Endurance MMA we have a karate method that utilizes kicks, punches, knees and sweeps which transitions smoothly into a Kickboxing setting. So maybe your next question is… what is kickboxing? Kickboxing is an umbrella term for any martial art style that employs kicks and punches (knees and elbows) under a specific rule set.

Will I get Kicked or Punched in the face? The answer is no. Only intermediate & advanced students have the ability to do full-contact sparring. New students will start with fundamental classes to learn the basics, and gradually gain the flexibility, coordination and strength to attain the ability to spar (if desired). Of course some contact has to be made at the basic level to learn about movement and strategies. Point being, you wont get kicked or punched in the head as a beginner.

WHAT IS JIU-JITSU?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu also known as the “Gentle Art” or “Arte Suave”. Is a martial art that focuses on joint locks, strangle holds, takedowns and controlling positions. Unlike kickboxing there are no kicks and punches. Using the body as leverage to submit your opponent is the goal. Learning Jiu-Jitsu will allow a smaller individual to overcome a bigger opponent. This is a great martial art for self defense, at the highest level you can prevent injury to your self and your opponent while still in control of a conflict.

Jiu-Jitsu as a sport is highly competitive with no shortage of events or opponents to constantly test and sharpen your skill against. It is an excellent way to get fit and burn fat while you roll with your teammates.

WHAT ARE STRENGTH & CONDITIONING CLASSES?


A strength and conditioning class at Team Endurance MMA is designed to enhance overall physical fitness and optimize performance for practitioners of all levels, with a particular emphasis on beginners. The class typically follows a structured format, incorporating a combination of cardiovascular exercises, strength training, flexibility drills, and agility drills. These elements collectively contribute to improved endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and coordination, essential components for martial artists seeking to excel in their discipline. The beginner-friendly approach ensures that participants receive proper guidance and support, gradually introducing foundational exercises and techniques while emphasizing correct form and safety. The benefits of such a class extend beyond martial arts skills, promoting general health, injury prevention, and heightened self-awareness.
